Tour U.S.A.

Stained Glass 1999:The Flying Dutchman

The Norfolk Terrier tour to the U.S.A. May 1999

May 1999: A trip to the USA packed with events!

Tico Steinhage (from kennel "Steinhager Hof"), Antje Schulz (kennel "Klein Darling's") and me ("Allright") made a twelve-days-tour to the USA.

  • After our arrival in Philadelphia we started with a stay at Heidi Evans house in Laurel, Delawere (Norfolk kennel "Hevans")
  • Second stop was Bee Ege's home in Virginia, what a beautiful place, nice for the dogs (kennel "Chidley") and some horses also.
  • Third stop was in North Carolina, Matthews near Charlotte, Melanie Wallwork's Norfolk kennel "Zebedee". Lots of lovely dogs to look at, including the puppies after my Ch. Allright Charlie Brown and Klein Darling's Tough Seasight - both visiting studdogs in the USA, and we could choose one to take back home...
  • From this place on the east coast we went on to our next destination: Santa Fe, New Mexico - far out west and so different!
  • There was the ANTA Spring Match and lots of Norfolk Terrierfriends had come to join it.
  • In the evening ANTA had organized a wonderful dinner at Santa Fe's Quail Run and we had lots of fun with all our friends.
  • The last three days we spent sightseeing the beautiful countryside of New Mexico, including a horseback tour in the National Forest, the Indian cultures like Bandelier National Monument and Taos Pueblo and many others. We saw the Rio Grande Gorge and the Whiterock "overlook", the old town of Santa Fe with the Plaza and more fantastic places. The weather was super: sunny and hot most the time, and...all cars and indoor places were airconditioned.

A big Thank You to everybody who welcomed us so friendly and warm.
